Syro-Malabar Catholic Diocese of Belthangady

The Syro-Malabar Catholic Diocese of Belthangady is a Roman Catholic diocese in India, under the Syro-Malabar Catholic Church. It was established in 1999 by Pope John Paul II's Bull "Cum Ampla". It is a suffragan diocese of the Syro-Malabar Catholic Church's Archdiocese of Tellicherry. This diocese has been established for the Syro-Malabar Catholics of the three civil districts of Karnataka State, viz., Kodagu, Dakshina Kannada and udupi. Bishop of this diocese is Mar Lawrence Mukkuzhy.
